In 2007, following a notion by Chris Brown, the gathering was founded by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehner.
The event was designed to allow artists and music enthusiasts to join together and share their love of music. With the release of a collection of limited edition rock vinyl and CDs by a range of various groups and artists, the celebration is enhanced by special appearances and performances all over the world.
